How to change your Synology password (DSM 6)

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to your Synology NAS’ URL (e.g. nas.example.com, mycompany.synology.me, etc.)

  2. Login to the Synology DSM web interface using your existing username and password.

  3. Click on the user icon at the top right of the screen:

  4. From the menu, click “Personal”.

  5. Enter your old/temporary password in the password field, then enter and confirm a new password.

  6. Click "OK" to save the new password.
